The forests near L’Ange Gardien in the Outaouais will be temporary home to 30 artists who will create new works of paintings or sculpture Sept. 5 to 7, all of it inspired by the natural spaces and trails of the area. Artists at the Traces Art Symposium will include

Gordon Harrison, Angela Verlaeckt, Nathalie Lapointe, Sylvain Potvin and more than two dozen others. Artists will live in small shacks, and the public is invited to stroll the trails and look at the artworks between 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sept. 6 and 7. Admission is free. The symposium is at 1521 on Route 309 in L’Ange Gardien, off Highway 50.
